The Early College is an innovative magnet school partnership with Gaston College. Students have an opportunity to earn a high school diploma at no cost, two years of 100% transferable college credit in the form of an associate in arts, associate in science, and/or associate in engineering degree.

Gaston Early College High School continues to set a high standard for academic achievement. Our school earns an A school performance grade from the state. We have one of the highest student proficiency rates in the state, and our students continue to exceed academic growth expectations.
The highlight of the school year
Graduation is a major milestone. It is a rite of passage for our students as they move on from high school and embark on new opportunities in college, the military, and the workforce.
When our graduating seniors walk across the stage, they are prepared for success and prosperity in life. It’s our ultimate commitment to students.
Shoe Drive
Shoe Drive Fundraiser begins September 8th and goes through December.
All old/used shoes that don't have holes, peeling soles, missing laces, etc. are welcome.
Chipotle Fundraiser Night - September 26th
Our next spirit night will be at Chipotle in Gastonia on Saturday, September 26 from 4pm-8pm. Customers must show the flyer (either printed or digitally) for the order to go toward our fundraiser. Customers can also place online orders and use the code on the flyer.

The Board of Education will meet on Monday, September 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. The public is invited to attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can watch it live on YouTube, the Gaston County Schools website, or Spectrum Channel 21.

Gaston County Schools is partnering with Kintegra Health to provide a school-based telehealth clinic, giving students access to medical care without leaving campus.
Through the telehealth clinic, students can connect with a Kintegra Health medical provider using secure video technology. A trained clinical professional will be with the student during the visit to assist with the exam and communicate with the provider.
