The Gaston Early College High School continues its commitment to high academic achievement. Once again, our school achieved an A school performance grade from the state. We have one of the highest student proficiency rates, and we exceeded our academic growth expectations.

The Early College is an innovative magnet school partnership with Gaston College. Students have an opportunity to earn a high school diploma at no cost, two years of 100% transferable college credit in the form of an associate in arts, associate in science, and/or associate in engineering degree.

The Board of Education will meet on Monday, August 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. The public is invited to attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can watch it live on YouTube, the Gaston County Schools website, or Spectrum Channel 21.

Gaston Early College High School will host Freshman Welcome Night on Thursday, August 6 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
This special event gives incoming ninth grade students and their families a chance to meet teachers and staff, learn about expectations for the school year, and get an overview of the Early College experience.
Gaston Early College High School will hold a Freshman Transition Camp on August 4 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This camp is designed to help incoming ninth graders get familiar with the campus, meet teachers and classmates, and prepare for a successful first year.
