The Early College is an innovative magnet school partnership with Gaston College. Students have an opportunity to earn a high school diploma at no cost, two years of 100% transferable college credit in the form of an associate in arts, associate in science, and/or associate in engineering degree.

The Gaston Early College High School continues its commitment to high academic achievement. Once again, our school achieved an A school performance grade from the state. We are tied for second for having the highest student proficiency rate in all of Gaston County, and we exceeded our academic growth expectations. We also have a 100 percent graduation rate!

Our Battle of the Books team won the Gaston County Schools High School Battle of the Books competition. We are off to compete at regionals on March 17.

Ms. Hatton is always willing to help and support others. When she sees you feeling sad, she will say, “Do you want a sucker?” and it always makes your day better. She is one of the hardest-working and kindest people in the school.

The Gaston County Education Foundation is accepting applications for the Jennie Stultz Grant for Arts Education. Open from March 2 through April 12, the grant supports programs in vocal, visual, and performing arts, as well as band.
